Annoucing the 2018 Route.

Perfect for those not selected to participate in The Denver Post “The Ride the Rockies”!  Only ..... a week earlier with extra options and more attractions. Cycle of Life Adventures provides the same riding challenges as the RTR, but our group size is small (7-12) and every night we stay in nice motels and eat dinner out as a group at the finer restaurants in town. No waiting for any services; restrooms, water/food breaks, your luggage will be dry and delivered to your room everyday. Our 15 passenger support vehicle and at least 2 guides and a mechanic will be on the road with riders during the duration of each daily ride. And, at any time you may take the option of catching a lift in the van.

The 2018 route takes you to the wonderful and majestic north central Rockies. With the trip beginning and ending in Breckenridge, this route adds a wonderful loop to our month long Colorado Epic Adventure. This route will cover up to 501 miles and goes over 6 mountain passes, with almost 33,500 ft of climbing (if all options are ridden). You will pass several ski resorts, hundreds of ranches and historic mining towns.  We do hope you will join us for this wonderful challenge.

Tour Details: June 1-8 (Fri-Fri) Price: $2446 ,  Single room Supplement: $525 Bike Rental: $175 wk

Travel Logistics: Assembly Point: Denver International Airport or our starting hotel, the Breck Inn, in Breckenridge, Colorado. Schedule your airline service to Denver Airport for pick up at noon and Airport dropoff  for 10 am on June 8. Van shuttle service arranged to our starting point and from ending point.

Included: Includes all lodging, breakfasts and dinners, some picnic lunches, van support, transfers, park entry fees, leaders, maps and narratives, cocktail social on our first evening, van shuttle to and from DIA

We will gather in Breckenridge on June 1 for a fabulous orientation dinner  (Denver International Airport pick up is available by noon). Breckenridge provides lots of sightseeing and historic activities. We will leave Breck the next morning on the Blue River Bike Trail through Frisco to Copper Mtn. From there we go over Fremont Pass, and then to Tennessee Pass and the World War II training facility of the 10th Mountain Division at Camp Hale on our way to Edwards, CO.

Day 2 takes us along the Eagle and Colorado Rivers, over Wolcott Gap to the lovely resort town of Steamboat Springs. We will spend two nights in the same place and do a 50 mile loop that was part of the 2015 US Pro Cycling Challenge, on the quiet roads of Routt County. Many summer activities exist in Steamboat, tubing/rafting the Yampa River, soaking in hot springs, brewery tour, fishing and hiking, and gondola rides.

We will get two passes early on day 4, Rabbit Ears and Muddy, and then we head to an gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park and stay in the quaint town of Grand Lake.

Leaving Grand Lake, we will give you two options. The first, to ride 24+ miles to the Trail Ridge Road summit, at the beginning of the day or we will ride to the resort town of Winter Park and the second option would be to climb to the top of Berthoud Pass, before returning to WP. For the really adventuresome, you could do both options.

Our last day will take us back through Granby, up and over Ute pass, with stunning views the Gore Range. We will cross the Dillon Dam and make our way back to Breckenridge via the Blue River Bike Trail. After a hard and grueling week, we chill out for the evening of the 7th in the town of Breckenridge. We have plenty of time to pack up bikes and  be ready to catch the morning shuttle to Denver Airport
