Tucson, AZ is the perfect warm spot to get in shape for your cycling season. Whether you are out for training or just anxious to get out of the ice and cold,Tucson is cycling Mecca with hundreds of bike paths and cyclist friendly routes.

This is our first FUNDO for the 2020 season. Our Fundos are designed for riders from Recreational to Advanced. The design of this tour keeps us in north Tucson for all four nights.

There will be one low cost of $595 per person for up to four days of riding. You will have all maps and gps routing, van support at 5-10 mile intervals, mechanical support, energy drinks, riding snacks, Saguaro National Park entry and an occassional van ride for those who are tired. Guests will pay for their own rooms, their own meals and will be responsible for their own transportation and bicycle shipment. A block of rooms is reserved at the Comfort Suites at Sabino and  is available on a first come, first serve basis until Dec 31. Or, you and your group may opt to rent a vrbo or airbnb in the local area. There will be one casual catered meal served poolside and a complimentary Wine and Brew social on our first evening. The group ride will be limited to the first 12 riders. Route maps will become available when you sign up.

We will ride the Tucson area bike loop, Saguaro National Park on both the east and west side of town. Urban bike routes in and about Oro Valley and Green Valley and a wonderful morning outing in Sabino Canyon

Dates: March 1-5, 2020 (Sun- Thurs) 4 nights/4 days Price: $595 - 5% discounts when signing up for multiple Fundos in 2020. Rental bikes and e-bikes available upon request.

Travel Logistics: Fly in and out of Tucson Airport. Arrive to the starting hotel for cocktails and dinner by 5 pm on March 1. Riding will start on the morning of March 2. Our final ride will complete on Thurs by 3 PM. Room reservations will be necessary by Dec 23 to hold your room. Once you register, you will be given a pass code to access rooms at the Comfort Suites. You will make your own deposit to guarantee your space. Room rates for 2 doubles or a king is $189 per room plus tax. A breakfast buffet is  served daily.

Included Event Highlights: Fun, casual riding, air museum tour, Sonoran Dessert Museum Tour.  Additional information for local attractions, available mechanic (tipping suggested)

Every day will include shorter casual options and "advanced" options. Distances can vary from 18 miles of intown touring to a metric century ride.

We have run this tour four times, but hace never offer it at such a reasonable cost. We are hoping for a full tour on this inaugural event. This tour qualifies for a 5% discount for returning guests. Or, 5% for groups of 4 or more

Mar 2 Short Ride-Saguaro National Park East ( 12-24 miles)

             Long Ride- Sabino- Saguaro East-Air Museum -Sabino ( 56 miles,  2348' elevation gain)

Mar 3 Short Ride- Shuttle to Saguaro Park West - Valley Loop (Sonoran Desert Museum Tour) 16 miles

             Long Ride- Tucson- Saguaro west- Tour museum loop ride back to Sabino canyon on loop ( up to 58.8 miles, 2390" of elevation gain)

Mar 4 Short Ride-Sabino - part way up Mt Lemmon - Sabino ( 14-36 miles) down hill options available- this route is weather dependent

             Long Ride-Sabino- Mt. Lemmon - Sabino ( up to 67 miles  7004ft of elevation gain)  this route is weather dependent

Mar 5 Short Ride- Tucson Loop Trail- Rillito Park- Sabino Canyon- Tanque Verde  (26.4 miles)

             Long Ride- Sabino Canyon-Tuscon Loop- Oro Valley - Tanque Verde ( 51 miles  elevation gain approx 2800' )
