The Colorado Rockies

This early season ride is perfect to give you a jump start on the cycling season with Mesa Verde and Colorado National Monument Parks as added attractions.

What a great route in Southwest Colorado and the western slopes. The 2020 route is designed to start in Ridgway and finish in Grand Junction. We will start our first day of riding in Ridgway with modest riding in and around the Umcompahgre Plateau. What a great warm up to 3 scenic and challenging passes to get you over the Million Dollar Highway from Ouray to Silverton and on to Durango the following day. Out of Durango, we will skirt way south in the Centenial State to to the LaPlata Mountains and Bayfield before an additional evening in Durango. Mesa Verde National Park is next on our route. With a few hours of layover, you should definitely take in the history and remains of the cliff dwellings. The National Park guides do a wonderful job of their escorted tours. Its is a climb back out of Mesa Verde, so if you are short on time, simply hop a ride  in the van back to the highway. The next two days will take us along the Dolores River and the Dallas Divide before we then transport to Grand Junction for our riding addicts to enjoy a seventh morning in Colorado National Monument. Catch a flight out of Grand Junction or a lift to our next tour starting in Glenwood Springs.

Cycle of Life Adventures provides the same riding challenges as many of the Colorado group rides but with a small group of 7-12. Every night we stay in the best area hotels and eat dinner out as a group at the finer restaurants in town. Our 15 passenger support vehicle and at least 2 guides, with one being a mechanic. We will be on the road with riders during the duration of each daily ride. And, at any time you may catch a lift in the van. No worries, no rider is ever left behind!
