While most of the country is sweltering in 90 degree temperatures in July, August and September, the Blue Ridge Mountain range offers a great relief. Cool temperatures, and lush green forests for hiking, smooth surface roads for cycling and mountain creeks and rivers for fishing and kayaking are in abundance.
Our guests have been asking for more time out of the saddle. So, to our Summer line-up, we have added a new 4-day bike vacation with morning and afternoon hikes in Linville Falls, Grandfather Mountain and Moses Cone Estate. An afternoon of kayaking on the South Branch of The New River or a flyfishing clinic in the adorable town of Todd is a “cool” Summer kick.
Your vacation starts in the beautiful vibrant downtown of Blowing Rock, NC, with a lovely dinner at Bistro Roco. The next morning, you start cycling south toward Linville Falls for a short or extreme hike. That’s your choice. Venture in and out of Blowing Rock for the next several days to neighboring small towns for culture, hikes, tubing, kayaking or fishing adventures. You will wrap up your cycling and Multi-sport activities in Blowing Rock before a shuttle back to Charlotte for anyone who has flown in for the Fundo.
You may decide to stay a few more days to take in some great hikes and Waterfalls treks. Let us know, we can hook you up with our local buds at the Adventure Center. Or, stay for an additional bike tour.
