Blue Ridge Multi-Sport

While most of the country is sweltering in 90 degree temperatures in August, the Blue Ridge Mountain range offers a great relief. Cool temperatures, lush green forests for hiking, smooth surface roads for cycling, and mountain creeks and rivers for fishing and kayaking are in abundance.

Our guests have been asking for more time out of the saddle, so we have revamped our Blue Ridge Multi-Sport into 6 days and nights of fun in our summer line-up.

Arrive by 2 pm to partake in a short hike on Grandfather Mountain or Moses Cone Estate. Take a mid-day break from the bike by kayaking on the South Branch of The New River in the adorable town of Todd. The local vibe is a “cool” summer kick.

Be our guest in our beautiful, vibrant hometown of Blowing Rock, NC. We will start this adventure with a lovely dinner at Twiggs. The next morning, you start cycling south toward Linville Falls for a short or extreme hike. That’s your choice. Venture in and out of Blowing Rock and West Jefferson for the next several days to neighboring small towns for culture, hikes, tubing, kayaking or fishing adventures. You will wrap up your cycling and multi-sport activities in Blowing Rock before a shuttle back to Charlotte for anyone who has flown in.

This area is known as the “High Country.” With that said, you will not find very many flat areas to ride. This tour is great for riders wanting a workout on the hills and those wanting to take in the views while resting at an overlook.  Your average elevation gain is 100 ft per mile for most of the week.We would suggest this tour for active riders or advanced novice riders on an e-bike. You may bring your own e-bike or rent one of our Giant Explore3s or Gazelle 10Ts.

If you decide to stay a few more days, take in some great hikes and waterfalls treks. Let us know so that we can hook you up with our local buds at the Adventure Center.
