Custom Bike Tours

Overview

Family and Friends that play together, stay together. On you next adventurous vacation, why not include the whole Gang? Ride and play together close to home right here in the US.

We have taken many of our past and presently scheduled tours and made them available with suggested itineraries and dates.  We suggest dates in regions that will complement the following criteria:

  • Good Weather conditions
  • Better rates for lodging and extra activities
  • Less crowded tourist conditions
  • Safest cycling conditions

Our Custom tours include all the features of our Classic and Four Day Tours, except we stamp it with your date and perhaps a few additional perks that you select.

A minimal group size is required well in advance depending on the location. When you don’t have a minimal group size, a minimal group pricing package can be established, or you may decide to go with a Non- private group tour.

Option One: Non-Private -When you do not have a party large enough to privatize a tour, you may join other guests and benefit the discounts for a group of four or more.

Option Two Make it a PrivateWhen planning your group experience, you may choose an existing scheduled date if no other individuals have signed up. With that date, you can keep our suggested itinerary, and pricing along with our hotel  and restaurant selections. Guests will be just those in your party.

Option Three Make it CustomYou may request a quote for your dates, similar itineraries and similar routes. Your planning form allows for your input for hotel, food and activities options.  Guests will be just those in your party.

There is a non- refundable tour development fee of $500 which will later be applied to your tour costs

Overview

Friends that play together, stay together. That’s why we offer private and custom cycling and multi-sport vacations. Although we have 40 years experience cycling and leading tours in Colorado’s high country, we have roots and years of experience back east. We call the Blue Ridge Parkway our back yard. We can boast in saying “we have developed and led tours in 38 states, Canada and the Caribbean.”

A special note: Considering the Covid -19 crisis of 2020, many of our National Park tour locations will not be possible. This can be due to lack of open lodging and/or non-availability to accommodations due to over demand. Many National Park Lodges may require 6-12 months advance notice. Start planning now for a 2021 National Park Vacation.

Custom

Designed for those seeking flexibility to travel on your schedule, with your group to your destination. You tell us where you want to go, and our tour designer and partner agents will work with you to build your perfect vacation from scratch, including your choice of riding, additional adventures, accommodations and dining options.

To help spark your imagination, we have a portfolio of trips throughout the US and Canada that are designed and ready to go. Or, call us with your ideas.

IF YOUR GROUP BOOKS A CUSTOM TRIP, WHO WILL BE ON IT? The only people on this trip are the 6 or more people you have selected to join you in this adventure. A custom trip is the ultimate in flexibility and personalization, allowing you to select your own date and create your own itinerary.

Private

Designed for those seeking to travel with their own group on one of our existing itineraries. Sometimes you want the rides, activities, service and special attention of a COLA vacation all to yourself. Therefore, we have created an option where one of our trips can be made private for you and your group of six or more. You’ll enjoy the same great riding, adventures, dining and relaxing at your pace, and it’s yours alone.

IF YOUR GROUP BOOKS A PRIVATE TRIP, WHO WILL BE ON IT? Six or more of your favorite people on a regularly-scheduled trip that is privatized exclusively for your group.

Group

Designed for groups of 6-15 who join a regularly scheduled COLA trip together with other COLA guests. “Groups” benefit from our special discount once they have six people and continue to benefit, as their group grows. Your group will join other COLA guests on your trip. IF YOUR GROUP BOOKS A TRIP, WHO WILL BE ON IT? Your group will be traveling with other COLA guests. We have the coolest guests around, so no matter who is on the trip, you’ll have a great time!

Self-Supported

Traveling as an individual or as a closely knit small group just got easier.

With input from one of our experienced guides and consultants, many of our tours can be designed for you to safely venture out on your own at a reduced cost compared to a guided tour. We can design your routes, align accommodations, suggest meals and extracurricular activities. Our four-day tour and many of our five-to-seven day tours are ideal for self-guided options.
