Florida “FUNDO” Bike Tour
Central Florida offers a nice variety of landscapes that you might not expect.
Central Florida is our latest offering for a cycling Fundo or Staycation. The area we have chosen offers a nice variety of landscapes that you wouldn’t normally associate as typical Florida. This four-day tour will ride out of the small town of Inverness each day.
Common to the area are horse farms, citrus groves, orchards, springs, rivers, lakes and an abundance of State Wildlife Forests. The nearby communities are connected with freshly-paved bike trails.
East and north of base camp offers rolling countryside and quiet roads. The Crystal River is a destination by bike one day. There, you can experience the gentle Manatees as they winter in the local waters by low impact paddle board or boat tours.
Lacoochee and Goethe State Forests offer hundred of miles of off-road bicycle trails that you may want to try after a short day of road riding. Homosassa Springs, Weeki Wachee Springs are both coastal villages to our west offering very low impact nature activities.
This 4-day riding and social event is designed for rider levels from Recreational to Intermediate levels. There will be one low cost of $595 per person for up to four days of riding. You will have all maps and GPS routing, van support at 7-15 mile intervals, mechanical support, energy drinks, riding snacks, and an occasional van ride for those who are tired. Guests will pay for their own rooms, their own meals and will be responsible for their transportation and bicycle shipment.
